- Abstract
This article examines the prevalence and risk factors of long COVID among Japanese healthcare workers during the Omicron epidemic. The study reveals that 25% of those infected experienced long COVID, with cough being the most common symptom. Patients with a history of COVID-19 were found to have eight times the risk of persistent symptoms compared to those without a history of COVID-19. The study also explores the relationship between vaccine status and long COVID, finding no significant association. The research provides valuable insights into the impact of the Omicron variant on long COVID and emphasizes the importance of understanding risk factors for this condition. However, it is important to consider the limitations of the study design and population when interpreting the findings.
