The article analysis the ability of developmental endothelial locus–1 (DEL-1) in regulating events that leads to inflammatory bone loss. Topics discussed include restatement of osteoclastogenesis and inhabitation of inflammatory bone loss in nonhuman primates; its role in treating periodontitis and inflammatory disorders; and regulation of lymphocyte function–associated antigen–1 by the same.
