- Authors
CROSSON, JESSE C.; BAZEMORE, ANDREW W.; PHILLIPS JR, ROBERT L.
- Abstract
This article reports that the electronic health record (EHR) has been associated with poor diabetes care and outcome. The Bush administration in 2004 is mentioned to have established a goal for every American to have care that includes an EHR by 2014. It discloses that the authors have assessed diabetes care quality in primary care practices as part of quality improvement intervention. The authors' subsequent research in a group of primary care practices and their findings are explained.
