- Abstract
The article focuses on a study conducted by researchers at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri which reveals that stringent limits on teens purchasing tobacco have resulted in lowering adult smoking rates among women. According to Dr. Grucza and his colleagues, states having enforcement policies against tobacco purchasing can reduce smoking by 14 percent.
