- Abstract
The article presents information on a study which determined the value of endoscopically measured tumor length in identifying overall survival in patients with esophageal adenocarcinoma, and identifying those high-risk patients with esophageal cancer who may benefit from neoadjuvant therapy. A review of the related literature on the incidence of esophageal cancer in the U.S. is presented. Clinical data collection was done between January 1995 and December 2007. The findings of the study are discussed.
