- Abstract
The article presents a study which evaluates the guideline-recommended care and racial disparities related to gastric cancer. It explores that ethnic groups in the U.S. including American African and Hispanic people have higher possibility to undergo lymphadenectomy, but were less likely to have adjuvant multimodality therapy. The study concludes that substantial variations were present in treating gastric cancer among ethnic groups and improved surgical care was observed in non white race.
