The article presents the author's views on the lack of stray dogs in Detroit, Michigan and her passion for rescuing strays. Topics include her dog Donna, the pampered dogs at her neighborhood, her and her husband's efforts to find homes for stray dogs. Also discussed are the economic history of Detroit and their efforts to look for stray dogs.
