- Abstract
The article discusses a case of a 29-year-old woman with left iliac fossa pain, tenesmus, and prolapse of tissue per rectum. It says that the patient's digital rectal examination has revealed a smooth mass and a mass palpable in the lower third of the rectum. It adds that a computed tomography (CT) scan has showed a sigmoid intussusception with an associated polyp. Moreover, the patient's medical images of her abdomen and villous surface are discussed.
