- Abstract
The article discusses how pediatricians can help in the psychosocial health and well-being, especially identity and self-esteem of children and adolescents with skin diseases like atopic dermatitis (AD), psoriasis, and acne. Topics discussed include literature review found AD to affect the quality of life of a child the same way as chronic diseases, use of cutaneous body image scale (CBIS) to assess potential psychocosial effects of skin diseases, and strategies for children to cope.
