- Abstract
The article discusses improved methods for the insertion of vascular access devices (VAD) in clinical practice to avoid accidental dislodgement of VADs. It mentions the future methods for VAD securement including tissue adhesives, subcutaneous tunneling, and peripherally inserted central catheters. It states the author views that decision making on the security aspect of VAD products need to supported by research for effective treatment.
