- Abstract
This section presents studies on supplementary feeding of British school children in the 1920s. All of the studies presented had a conclusion that milk was beneficial in the weight gain and height of the children. However, issues of selection bias and design faults were pointed out. The selection of groups may have been biased to emphasize results. A question of whether the impact of such studies on school meal and milk policies is a welfare and educational or industrial matter.
