The article presents a case study exploring the impact of bad research with emphasis on the "Science: So What? So Everything" science communication campaign in Great Britain. The consideration of a poor-quality report in the science communication campaign is highlighted. The use of social media in expressing criticisms about government-backed research is outlined.
