- Abstract
A case study is presented on the relationship between the security sector and corruption in Latin America from the 1990s through the early 2010s. Police in Latin America, including the Columbian police's use of military tactics, the police's relationship with political leaders and the hierarchical organizational structure of the police, are discussed. Latin American crime, including organized crime in Honduras and white collar crime among police, is also discussed.
