- Abstract
This article presents a commentary on the methodological biases in estimating the burden of out-of-pocket health care expenses. The out-of-pocket health care expenses imposes a substantial burden on the elderly, particularly the poor elderly. The elderly spends 19 percent of their income on medical care expenses.
