- Abstract
Malignant atrophic papulosis, also known as Degos disease, is a rare thrombotic vasculopathy involving the skin, gastrointestinal tract and the central nervous system. We could identify only one other previously reported similar case: a 41-year-old man with DLE and Degos-like lesions on the back.[5] In both patients, including ours, the atrophic lesions clinically resembled Degos disease, but the histopathology was consistent with DLE.
