- Abstract
The article discusses the proposed framework for improving HIV care continuum in low- and middle-income countries, that combines an explanatory model with social ecological levels. Topics discussed include potential basis of individual action on a conscious or unconscious balance between perceived value and perceived costs, expected engagement in care when balance between value and care favors value, and factors that can mediate value and cost.
