- Title
UK university developing breath test to predict health in older people.
- Abstract
A report published in May 2024 highlights the challenges faced by older adults in using current technology and calls for the development of user-friendly and accessible tech tools. The report emphasizes the need for personalized and AI-driven solutions, especially in areas such as healthcare and financial management. In another study, researchers at Loughborough University in the UK are working on a breath test to predict declining health and physical function in older individuals. The study aims to identify biomarkers associated with frailty using AI-based approaches. Additionally, a home care technology platform in Canada is launching an AI project to enhance its health record platform and improve patient outcomes. The project will leverage large language models and predictive algorithms to identify individuals at risk of hospitalization. Lastly, an Australian company is developing smart glasses that use augmented reality and spatial sound to help visually impaired individuals navigate their surroundings.
