- Abstract
The article discusses the relationship between financial deregulation, American films and the restructuring of U.S. film industry in the 1980s. An overview of the depiction of the U.S. financial industry in the films "Wall Street," directed by Oliver Stone and starring Michael Douglas, and "Rollover," directed by Alan J. Pakula and starring Jane Fonda and Kris Kristofferson, is provided.
