- Authors
Schroeder, Alaina C.
- Abstract
The article discusses the court case City of Scranton v. Fire Fighters Local Union No. 60, which tackled the complaint of labor unions on the Municipalities Financial Recovery Act (Act 47) because of its tension with the Policemen and Firemen Collective Bargaining. It explores the procedural evaluation of the ruling by the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania in such case. The ruling in such case stressed the applicability of the Act 47 to arbitration awards, regardless of the language of section 252 of such legislation.
