- Abstract
The article discusses the literature circles, a small, temporary discussion groups in which students are provided roles. It aims to guide students to enhanced comprehension of particular ideas as they search the text and takes part in the discussion. Several basic roles suited for the reading of most books are offered, such as the Everyday Life Connector, Science Skeptic, and Power investigator. Literature circles is a flexible instructional strategy. In implementing this method, one must consider the text selection, group size, time, assessment, and teacher's role.
