- Title
Four Lessons from the Whole Foods Case.
- Authors
Lambert, Thomas A.
- Abstract
The article presents the Whole Foods Markets and Wild Oats Markets merger case. Although the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) attempted to block the merger, the federal court rejected its motion for preliminary injunction. The FTC argued that the merger would result to an anticompetitive combination in the highly concentrated market for premium natural and organic supermarkets.
