- Title
The Law Courts Are for All, Not for Elysium.
- Authors
Slapper, Gary
- Abstract
The author argues that as the law applies to everyone, it must be accessible to everyone. Topics discussed include the importance of a stable, enlightened, coherent democracy that everyone who needs legal advice or court representation has access to a sound professional service, the obligation of the state to make the machinery of the law to work for rich and poor alike and the withering legal aid system in Great Britain.
