- Abstract
H2‐Gas kann bei niedrigen Temperaturen durch eine rutheniumkatalysierte Wassergas‐Shift‐Reaktion (WGSR) freigesetzt werden. Basierend auf einem kombinierten theoretischen und experimentellen Ansatz präsentieren D. M. Smith und Mitarbeiter in ihrer Zuschrift auf S. 751 einen neuen WGSR‐Mechanismus mit chloridreichen anionischen Rutheniumcarbonylkomplexen. Die Ergebnisse stützen sich auf kinetische Isotopeneffekte und stellen einen Schritt hin zur industriellen Produktion von H2 bei niedrigen Temperaturen dar.
