- Abstract
The present work presents the experience of elaborating and facilitating the extension action in the course format, entitled Acolhe APS, linked to the Extension Project called Laboratory of Clinical Subject and Public Policies (CLIPSUS) and to the Professional Graduate Program in Psychology and Public Policy at the Federal University of Ceará -- PPGPPPP, Sobral campus. The objective of Acolhe APS was to develop a professional training course on the use of light technologies in health and mental health promotion for Community Health Agents in the Municipality of Iguatu, Ceará. The course content was formulated from four focus groups previously carried out with 26 community agents, between August and September 2021. With a workload of 20h/a, the course was divided into a face-to-face meeting and two asynchronous activities, carried out during the month of May 2022. 103 CHAs signed up for the training, of which 71 participated in the face-to- face meeting. The programmatic content had among its themes: Mental Health Policies in Primary Health Care (PHC), Promotion in Mental Health and Light Technologies in Health. Among the reflections listed during the training, the following stand out: the dismantling of the mental health policy and its repercussions on the care offered by PHC professionals, collective work strategies to promote mental health, and the mental health of primary care workers in the Covid19 pandemic . Through a dialogical methodology, the participants were able to exchange experiences about the possibilities of mental health care in PHC. In the end, 66 participants completed the minimum number of hours required for the course and were certified, positively evaluating the training. Among the suggestions for improvements to Acolhe APS, the ACS indicated that the same should be carried out with the other professional categories, and with a greater number of face-to-face meetings.
