- Abstract
The article presents the discussion on olive oil consumption being associated with a lower risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD). Topics include olive oil improving lipid profile, insulin sensitivity, glycaemic control, and endothelial function decreaseing blood pressure; and evaluating the association between total consumption of olive oil and total and cause-specific mortality in two large cohorts of US men and women.
