- Abstract
On the basis of some of the main peculiarities and specific notes of professional sport, in this study an exegesis of the recent «Collective Agreement for Women Soccer Players Providing Professional Services to Clubs of the Women's First Division Soccer» is carried out, following the order of its articles, through a critical, parallel ande compared analysis with Royal Decree 1006/1985, which regulates the special employment relationship of professional athletes, as well as with the current «Collective Agreement for the activity of professional football, signed between the National League of Professional Soccer and the Association of Spanish Soccer Players» and, by analogy within its subjective scope, with the «Collective Agreement for the activity of professional basketball of the Women's League organized by the Spanish Basketball Federation». n this journey through collective bargaining there is also a reflection on the evolu-tion of men’s sport versus women’s sport and, finally, about the origins or not, de lege ferenda, of a future joint normative regulation that encompasses and unites everyone’s work activity and all the footballers men abd women, —and, by extension, athletes of other sports modalities—, of all the categories and competitions in which those who make sport their way of life participate, because the defining characteristics of labor concur in their activity, and thus, they must be male and female workers
