- Abstract
We would like to thank Chu and Wei for their commentary regarding our study on the long-term cognitive effects of premenopausal risk-reducing salpingo-oophorectomy (RRSO) in women with high familial risk of ovarian cancer.[[1]] The first point raised by Chu and Wei is that we may not have fully captured cognition by using the Amsterdam Cognition Scan (ACS) as our cognitive measurement. The second point made by Chu and Wei relates to the exclusion of body mass index (BMI), diabetes and smoking as confounding factors in our analyses. At the same time, the test battery of the ACS is quite extensive compared with the test batteries (online or offline) used in many other studies.
