- Abstract
The article reports on research which was conducted to investigate physician barriers to HIV testing in the U.S. Researchers surveyed 137 primary care physicians. They found that 55 of the physicians were unaware of HIV testing recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and that many were also unaware that testing should be routinely offered to adolescent patients and adult patients between the ages of 18 and 64.
