- Abstract
The article presents information on obesity related factors which contribute to immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN). To determine the association between obesity and renal damage, obesity related factors like serum lipid profiles and levels of several adipocytokines in patients with IgAN were examined. It was concluded that IgAN patients with obesity have clinicohistogical features such as glomerulomegaly and intrarenal arteriolar hyalinosis in association with high BMI.
