- Abstract
The article discusses the poem "sybil unrest" by Rita Wong and Larissa Lai in terms of its reflections on depersonalization, holism, and the role of human nature in political movements. The author notes the avant-garde poetic style of the poem, such as the formatting and choice to not capitalize "i" as strategies of depersonalization and breaking down human form. Other topics covered include racial identity, fragmentary poetics, and biopolitics.
