- Title
RECYCLING, REUSING, AND RECLAIMING.
- Abstract
The article reports on developments concerning the implications of reclaiming, reusing and recycling for the problems associated with environmental pollution in the U.S. Vinton W. Bacon, professor at the University of Wisconsin, pointed out that sewage is still 99.9% water and cited examples of how it can be put to good use. A study which is developing a high-protein food from cellulose wastes at Louisiana State University promises to help feed an overpopulated world and reduce a major source of air and land pollution. It is revealed that the household wastes and many organic wastes from industry can be converted into products that can be returned to the environment without contributing to pollution.
