- Abstract
This article discusses the use of home remedies in dermatology. Home remedies are traditional therapies that use natural products, nutritional supplements, or physical measures. They have been used for centuries in various dermatological disorders and are often preferred by patients before consulting a dermatologist. The article reviews the therapeutic uses of common household items such as vinegar, aloe vera, honey, glycerin, turmeric, common salt, onion extract, duct tape, garlic extract, bleach, and plant oils. While home-based therapies are widely available and inexpensive, there is still a lack of evidence and well-controlled studies. However, they remain popular among the general population, and dermatologists should be familiar with their uses and efficacy.
