- Abstract
The article describes a case of improbable survival in a 19-year-old man who sustained blunt traumatic cardiopulmonary arrest and underwent prehospital cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) after experiencing a motor vehicle collision. The patient experienced additional episodes of cardiac arrest during the hospital stay and survived neurologically intact. The intervention was able to restore his pulse and systolic blood pressure of 77 mmHg.
