- Abstract
The article focuses on a study which examined oceanic redox conditions spanning the Frasnian/Famennian (F/F) boundary. An organic geochemical analysis was conducted with stable carbon isotope ratio and bioturbation levels. Results of the study showed a positive shift of carbon isotope ratio across the F/F boundary in Belgium and high values of carbon isotope in the lower Famennian strata in China. It also notes that organic matter components in these areas indicate a global anoxic event.
