- Abstract
Objetivo: precisar los niveles de Caspasa-3 y Bcl-2 en ratas kindled con y sin intervención con el EMT. Antecedentes: la epilepsia es una enfermedad neurológica ampliamente estudiada. Se conocen fármacos que en muchos de los casos controlan esta enfermedad, así como los tratamientos quirúrgicos. Sin embargo, más del 30% de pacientes no tienen un buen control de sus crisis. Recientemente, se ha propuesto la estimulación magnética transcraneal (EMT) como alternativa antiepiléptica y neuro-protectora, sin que hasta el momento se conozcan los mecanismos por los cuales la EMT ejerza sus efectos. A la proteína Bcl2 se le conoce como anti-apoptótica e involucrada en procesos de la muerte celular. El uso de la EMT y sus mecanismos celulares han sido parcialmente estudiados. Por lo que, este trabajo pretende evaluar la participación de la EMT en los procesos protección y muerte neuronal, en ratas con crisis clónico-tónicas a partir de la inducción del modelo Kindling, el cual es referido como un desarrollo progresivo de convulsiones electroencefalografías. Métodos: se utilizaron ratas Wistar de los 250g a los 300g, con las condiciones ambientales controladas, alimentación y ciclo circadiano adecuados, con todas las medidas establecidas por la NOM-062-ZOO-1999, se realizó el modelo Kindling en dos grupos, uno únicamente con kindling y el segundo con kindling y EMT. El estimulador se utilizó a 1Hz. Análisis estadístico con ANOVA de dos vías y medidas de tendencia central. Núm. de registro del protocolo: 93/20 Resultados: disminución de la duración de la actividad epiléptica en el grupo EMT en comparación al grupo Kindling, incremento de la expresión de BCL-2 en el grupo control a comparación del grupo Kindling y grupo Control. Conclusiones: Bcl-2 está relacionado a la sobrevida y protección neuronal, por lo que niveles elevados puede producir una acción neuro protectora.
