- Title
Important data is lost in the nursing handover.
- Abstract
The article presents news briefs on public health. A research at St Michael's Hospital in Bristol, England reports that important data is lost in nursing handover of patients. The incidence of multiple primary melanomas is increased in patients in the U.S. with a positive family history and/or dysplastic nevi. According to research on match injuries sustained by professional rugby union players, professional rugby clubs on an average will have 18 percent of their players unavailable for selection as a result of injuries sustained during matches. Swedish researchers investigating the decision-making processes and factors of people undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) suggest that many patients wish to have two embryos transferred during IVF, despite good information about the risks for complications with multiple pregnancies.
