- Abstract
The article discusses why cardiac resynchronization therapy with defibrillator (CRT-D) is preferred over cardiac resynchronization therapy with pacemaker (CRT-P) in CRT-indicated patient. Topics discussed include CRT-D demonstrating advantages over implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) in terms of morbidity, symptom reduction, and survival; pacing site-dependent arrhythmia, and possibility of device-related tachyarrhythmia to occur due to device-related arrhythmia.
