The article explores how non-U.S. citizens who want to live and work in the U.S. can obtain a green card without a labor certification. An overview of the Labor Certification Application (PERM) process is provided. It discusses the National Interest Waiver classification. It outlines the evidence that should be included in the National Interest Waiver such as an official academic record, a license to practice and membership in a professional association.
