Title
FLUORIDE, BONE CRYSTAL STRUCTURE, AND CALCIUM BALANCE.
Abstract
With increasing fluoride concentrations in human bone, increased 'crystallinity' as evidenced by larger crystal size and more nearly perfect crystals has been observed. Early studies indicate an indirect relationship between fluoride and carbonate concentrations in the enamel and a direct relationship between fluoride ingestion and calcium retention.
