- Abstract
The ejido Cieneguita de la Barranca has an annual possibility of 2,357.50 cubic meters total roll tree (m³ RTA) of the genus Pinus, In 2019, the community consolidated a contract for the purchase of pinewood with the Munerachi ejido for a volume of 1,319.05 m³ RTA. The ejido is part of 87 % of the ejidos and forest communities are dedicated only to the logging timber and their sale in roll, due to this situation. The objective of this research was to determine the feasibility of an investment project of the forestry industry through a comparative analysis of two economic scenarios established by the method of sale of the sawn timber produced. Through the sale of Mill Run sawn timber, the ejido can reach an annual profit of $ 241,325.95 with a Balance Point at 279,965 Thousand produced, however, in terms of their financial indicators, they all turn out to be negative. On the other hand, the classification of wood would generate profits to the ejido for $ 2,417,010.52 per year with a Recovery Period of 1.12 years and a Balance Point 50.00 Thousand produced, The Net Present Value was estimated at 493,553.58, the Internal Rate of Return is 1.85% higher than the TREMA and finally the Benefit / Cost Ratio is 1.02, this indicates that the project under these conditions is viable. Additionally, it is recommended to analyze the richness of Dasylirion sereke for its subsequent commercialization as non-timber.
