The article discusses the role of foreign exchange rates in the U.S. trade deficits. Topics discussed include loss of domestic production and jobs in industries because of consumers behavior of saving money by purchasing cheaper imports; unfair trade practices in the surplus countries and trade deficit of the U.S. with Japan which cause de-industrialization.
