- Abstract
This article examines how the ability to correctly recognize nonverbal behaviors of emotion, specifically facial expressions, affect resident advisor performance. It states that correctly identifying facial expressions is important to resident advisors both as a means of buiding relationships with students and as a means of doing their jobs. Highly effective resident advisors were shown to be better at identifying emotions in facial expressions than less effective resident advisors.
