- Abstract
The article presents a case study of 46-year-old man presented for elective bronchoscopy for evaluation of recurrent hemoptysis with the history of obesity and pulmonary vein stenosis. It notes about positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) which caused alveolar overdistention in the upper lobes with further blood flow distribution; development of bilateral lower lobe atelectasis; and development of worsening hypoxemia after the increase in PEEP.
