- Abstract
Protonated ethylene carbonate was synthesized by reacting the neutral compound in the superacidic system HF/SbF SB 5 sb at low temperature. B The Front Cover b shows the crystal structure of the salt of protonated ethylene carbonate [C SB 3 sb H SB 5 sb O SB 3 sb ][Sb SB 2 sb F SB 11 sb ]. Interestingly, the single-crystal X-ray structure analysis revealed a planar CO SB 3 sb moiety with nearly equal CO bond lengths.
