- Abstract
This article aims to contextualize the study of business networks in the graduate programs in Production Engineering. The Production Engineering professional has been increasingly required in the Organizational Engineering aspect, due to the complexity of the arrangements and interrelations that occur between partner companies and also in relationships established in the supply chain. Increasingly, the Production Engineer has been required to have a systemic view, not only focusing on his organization, but also expanding the connections established by the network. However, the study of networks in almost all of them is only addressed in the graduate programs, involving exclusively master's and doctoral scholars. The aim was to characterize the study of networks in the Graduate Programs of Production Engineering by surveying all existing programs, which offer some discipline related to the study of the networks of companies and how many research groups exist related to the theme in question. And the number of courses that offer disciplines or maintain research groups in business networks is still low (around 20%) compared to the development of the bibliography on the subject.
