- Abstract
The article presents a study which explores the gene expression profiles of leukocytes in the cerebrospinal fluid of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) during relapse. The study made use of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to verify the global gene expression. The result of the study shows that 28% of non-risk genes were differently expressed in MS patients.
