The author discusses the importance of biodiversity digitization in revealing biggest data on biodiversity. Topics discussed include the cataloged specimens in the US National Museum of Natural History, changes in biotic communities because of invasive species, climate change or other dynamics and the National Science Foundation that is advancing the digitization of biodiversity collections under the Advancing Digitization of Biodiversity Collections program.
