- Abstract
The article discusses the research report by the Institute of Medicine (IOM) which urges the U.S. Congress for the reform of the federal financing and governance of graduate medical education (GME) in the U.S. The report outlines the extensive assessment of physician residency training funding and medical health personnel in the country. The report also recommends allocating the funds for Medicare GME to district health subsidiary funds for physicians training activity.
