- Abstract
The article discusses the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in connecting patients to clinical trials. The authors introduce TrialGPT, a system that utilizes large language models (LLMs) to match patients with clinical trials by analyzing and understanding medical records and trial eligibility requirements. TrialGPT demonstrates expert-level accuracy in predicting eligibility criteria and shows potential in reducing the time taken for patient trial matching. The authors suggest that TrialGPT has the potential to decrease disparities in clinical trial enrollment and improve patient recruitment.
