- Abstract
The article discusses research which investigated effects of intrathecal tamsulosin on intraureteral pressure and in vivo peristalsis in partially obstructed and intact ureters of rat models. The study was presented at the May 2012 meeting of the American Urological Association (AUA) in Georgia. It mentions presence of α1-adrenoceptor antagonists in medications which include tamsulosin and alfuzosin. The impact of these antagonists on ureteral activity is also explored.
